Le Samedi.

Under the threat of a thunderstorm and probable electricity failure, Mom and I did what we knew the best: escape the possibility of a boring saturday at home.

a fuchsia cover-up from Urban Outfitters, shirt from Nordstrom, grey tights from Macy's and a Pashmina scarf from China.I advocated sensible flats, no more sinking into the mud for me!

My darling orange umbrella was purchased at a large department store during an annual sale in the Ginza District in Tokyo back in '07. Incidentally, another lady purchased the same umbrella at exactly the same moment as me; I'm linked halfway around the world :) I just got a free bag sent in the mail along with my Teen Vogue subscription, don't you just love free stuff? It will probably take the role of a lunch tote, as it is water-resistent and practical.

Love mom's color combination. It makes each piece really pop.

My dad's watch and a slough of bangles I picked up at a flea market in Beijing.

We decided to watch Where the Wild Things Are; I chickened out of Paranormal Activity after the various tales of insomina told by unsuspecting victims (i.e. grown-ups)

Savored absolutely delicious lettuce wraps at P.F. Chang's (it's one of the reasons I patiently wait amongst the buffalo migration for)

Got this black turtle from Ann Taylor. I decided to incoporate black into my warerobe again and at $25, whatta steal!
